We would love to get to know you. Please post a short introduction and take the time to read other people’s introductions too. Networking and connection is a really important aspect of all our leadership programmes and one way to start this off is to comment on other people’s posts.

Ata Marie Koutou,
I am the Principal of Endeavour School in the suburb of Flagstaff, north Hamilton. I am in my 4th year here, previous to that I was the Principal of Puketaha Primary for 8 years also in the Waikato.
This year I have also been given the privilege of been appointed Lead Principal of our Kaahui Ako, Te Pae Here. So currently am building my fitness with learning the various elements of this role.
I am very much looking forward to connecting next week with and travelling through this leadership programme with you all throughout the year.

It was great to meet you all face to face over the past 2 weeks – we are a diverse and talented team with so much to offer each other. Thank you all for making me feel welcome in your various schools and communities.
Just a quick reminder of the expected preparation for our forthcoming retreat in Tauranga ( 2 weeks away tomorrow)
1. Complete the VIA Character Strengths Test on line and be prepared to share your top 3 strenghts in our introductory session ( https://www.viacharacter.org/account/register) – this is a 10 minute exercise and one I use in all my recruitment work. I think you will find it interesting – try it out with your staff and family!
2. Complete the exercise outlined in the course booklet related to the resource “Compelling Leadership”. This exercise enables you to form a picture of the levels of trust that exist within your team. I think it it is a really valuable exercise.
3. Be prepared to share ONE leadership resource you have come across in the recent past.
Safe travels – we start with a coffee at Trinity Wharf 10.30 am Wednesday April 2nd – I will be there the night before if any of you want to catch up for a meal and a chat.
All the best
